Accountant

We are offering an opportunity for an Accountant to join our team in North York, Ontario. In this role, you will be required to manage financial records, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and provide strategic financial advice. This role also includes enhancing the financial operations and maintaining the financial health of the organization. Responsibilities: - Accurately process and update financial transactions including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to financial procedures and legal guidelines- Collaborate with external auditors for annual audits and address audit findings- Analyze financial data and trends to identify cost-saving initiatives and provide strategic financial advice- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into variances- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports- Use Odoo to prepare, review, and analyze financial records- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and standards- Work with department heads to support financial planning and decision-making- Identify and suggest process improvements for accounting operations and reporting- Assist in assessing risks and implementing financial controls- Support system implementations or upgrades and help train staff on new procedures.- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems- Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions- Proficiency in Odoo software- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field- Strong analytical skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy- Ability to work independently and in a team- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and regulations- Excellent problem-solving skills- Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel and Word.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
