Job Description
We are looking for a Chief Administrative Officer to join our client's team in Markham, Ontario, Canada. This role involves spearheading the administrative operations, process modernization, and ensuring compliance with company policies. As a Chief Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in handling contracts, building out KPI's and deliverables.Responsibilities:Contributes management expertise to senior leadership discussions, aiding in the development of sustainable business strategies, problem-solving, and issues management, while ensuring alignment with the organization's vision and goals.Provides leadership across business operations, risk management, and IT functions to support the organization's strategic direction.Under the direction of the President and CEO, sponsors, plans, and oversees major business projects aligned with strategic priorities, ensuring effective workforce resourcing, resolving issues, and delivering regular updates and recommendations to the President, CEO, and/or the Board.Identifies gaps and deficiencies in administrative and business services, and develops initiatives to address them, including the introduction and refinement of best practices.Plans and directs business operations services to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and high-quality client service across the organization. This includes overseeing core administrative functions such as human resources, IT, project management, policy development, records management, contract management, and administrative support.Leads efforts in collaboration with program managers, senior technology specialists, and the clients management to define and manage technology and asset requirements, ensuring the financial integrity of procurement and leasing processes.Manages the People and Culture and Customer Service Departments, ensuring alignment of plans, priorities, and resources with the clients strategic objectives and the effective deployment of resources.Leadership experience developing strategy, creating governance structures in medium to large organizations, developing and implementing accountability frameworks; planning, leading, recommending, and steering policies, standards and related performance criteria through decision-making and implementation stages. Service delivery, operational planning, resource management, business operations, administration and reporting and monitoring, risk management methodologies, and practices in medium to large organizations and associated policies and decision-making process to lead the planning and delivery of business operations services for the organization. Change management skills to propose, assess and implement successful organizational, and other large-scale initiatives as directed by the President and CEO to support the clients strategies. People management and team building skills to manage and motivate staff and foster strong teamwork; to ensure others buy into the mission, goals and agenda to define team resources required, define clear roles and accountabilities amongst team.Interpersonal and relationship management skills to build partnerships and discuss recommendations with executives and key stakeholders. Strategic analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve multi-dimensional problems and issues and to provide, proactive advice and solutions; to identify and manage risk.Collaboration, negotiation, consultation, and conflict resolution skills to work to resolve issues; to anticipate and respond to organizational needs, identifying cross-departmental barriers and the required success factors for effective integration or collaboration between groups.
