Job Description
Under the supervision of the Head, Geomatics and Information Assets, the incumbent ensures the completion of geomatics projects related to the deployment of an asset management system. He or she implements information collection strategies, is responsible for managing geospatial data related to infrastructure and equipment, and establishing update processes to ensure the integrity of spatially referenced data. Ensure the completion and coordination of geomatics projects assigned to them Participate in the analysis and collection of business unit needs. Plan and coordinate the activities of internal and external resources assigned to projects with a view to respecting costs, deadlines and quality. Ensure the quality of deliverables and ensure that requirements are met. Contribute to the preparation of documents such as specifications, project definition documents, roadmaps, recommendation reports, detailed design documents and technical specifications. Support the implementation of proposed solutions and train end users. Facilitate workshops involving stakeholders from different sectors to understand their needs. Establish the information strategy and participate in the deployment of the asset management system Establish the asset information strategy in close collaboration with the Infrastructure management Department. Develop the action plan for asset prioritization, condition rating calculation and asset inventory. Implement strategies for collecting information, updating and validating geospatial data. Write the documentation and diagrams needed to understand the processes and their updates. Structure and maintain databases to manage information to ensure the accessibility, integrity, accuracy and usability of all information. Develop, execute, maintain and manage geoprocessing scripts to automate data integration and validation processes. Model, manage and analyze data relevant to asset management. Collaborate in the search for innovative solutions for asset management. Ensure proper integration of asset information into existing tools (GIS, CMMS, GID, etc.) and perform tests when developing new solutions. Develop and maintain data analysis and sharing tools to facilitate decision-making and represent them in the form of dashboards, graphs, thematic maps and reports. Participate in the integration of geographic data with BIM (Building Information Modeling) model information. Participate in defining the geospatial data governance strategy Implement the processes necessary to ensure effective data management. Ensure the integrity of spatially referenced data by developing validation and automation processes. Participate in the drafting and implementation of standards and policies defining the geospatial data governance plan. Participate in technological monitoring and innovation in the field of geomatics Implement initiatives and projects aimed at the continuous improvement of geomatics processes. Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, carry out impact and needs analyses and issue recommendations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or geomatics sciences, environmental geomatics, DESS in geomatics or any other training deemed relevant; 7 to 10 years of relevant experience; Project management experience, an asset; Mastery of the ESRI product suite; Knowledge of FME tools or other ETL tools; Knowledge of JMap and AutoCad software (an asset); Operational experience with SQL, Python and/or VBScript and HTML programming languages; Mastery of the MS Office suite; Valid driver's license (class 5); Be focused on customer needs; Have excellent organizational skills, be autonomous and demonstrate initiative; Flexibility and good ability to adapt to change; Spoken and written bilingualism: French and English
