Sr. Accountant

Our client is a global manufacturing and service company. Due to exciting growth, they are expanding the Finance team and are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to be based in the Canadian Head Office in Burlington, ON. This position is hybrid and requires 2 days onsite/week. Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, the Sr. Accountant will assist with the month end close including journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory analysis and financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the company's offices across the globe in the Americas, Europe and APAC. As the Sr. Accountant, you will be the resident IFRS expert and will help guide local staff on IFRS standards.To be considered for the role of Sr. Accountant, you should be in the late stages of the CPA program or already have obtained your CPA designation. You must have strong hands-on IFRS knowledge and experience. You should have exceptional attention to detail and proactively take ownership of processes. You should have strong analytical skills which will assist you in delving into the numbers to ensure accuracy and completeness. You should have strong experience in the manufacturing or projects/service (ie percentage completion, revenue recognition, WIP etc) industries.
