Corporate Accountant

Our client in the downtown core is seeking a success-driven, hands-on accountant with a can-do attitude to reinforce their finance team. The ideal candidate is required to collaborate effectively with the CFO, bearing the mandate of maintaining various Corporate Finance obligations. This is a hybrid role (2 days in office).Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:Prepare and post various journal entries.Calculate sales commissions and post journal entries.Responsible for accounts receivables.Prepare monthly and quarterly invoices.Assist with month end closing.Review accounting on supplier invoices and expense reports.Provide back up of other team members role which includes accounts payable, bank deposits, process payments to suppliers, process all personal and corporate travel expense reports, assist with monthly commodity tax and corporate tax return preparation.Assist with the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.Responsible for researching new regulatory and financial reporting requirements to ensure that corporate complies with IFRS/GAAP.Assist with the year-end audit for the corporation. Work with external auditors to complete the annual audit of the corporation and prepare year-end working papers as required. Skills & RequirementsUniversity degree in Business Administration or Finance. CPA Designation (or in final stages).2 years in a full cycle accounting & finance role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of Concur and Business Central an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and project management skills.Ability to multi-task, work with time constraints, and meet deadlines.Excellent analytical, identification and resolution skills.An eye for detail.Impeccable verbal and written communication skills and the ability to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders.If you match these requirements, we encourage you to apply online using the reference "Corporate Accountant."
