Junior Insurance Specialist

Position: Junior Insurance Specialist Location: Downtown Toronto, Hybrid (3 days per week) Job Type: 12-16 month contract with potential for extension or other promotion opportunities Our client, an insurance brokerage, is seeking a Junior Insurance Specialist to serve as a client liaison, delivering prompt and professional service. This role is ideal for someone with prior customer service experience who has recently obtained their RIBO license and is eager to start a career in insurance. Responsibilities: - Set up and manage client accounts, process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations. - Calculate renewal premiums 60 days prior to renewal. - Handle refund requests and client queries via phone and email. - Issue and manage certificates of insurance, and handle monthly reporting. - Email or mail documents to clients, and ensure accurate documentation and client updates. - Assist with program procedures and contribute to a professional office environment. Qualifications: - Previous customer service experience required. - Knowledge of insurance products and regulations is a plus. - RIBO license required. - Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
