Collections Specialist

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the healthcare industry in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. The selected individual will be tasked with an array of responsibilities centered around managing the collection process and ensuring compliance with industry standards.Responsibilities:- Conduct follow-up calls to ensure timely payments.- Process incoming payments in a timely and accurate manner.- Assist with the creation and distribution of invoices.- Ensure all collection activities comply with industry regulations.- Manage and update customer records based on interactions.- Handle customer inquiries related to their accounts and resolve any issues.- Monitor customer accounts and flag any irregularities or potential issues.- Collaborate with the team to improve collection procedures and maintain customer relationships.- Applicant must have a clear understanding of collections procedures and regulations- Proficiency in using collections software and other relevant computer applications- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and resolve outstanding payments swiftly and effectively- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills- Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information- Experience in customer service will be advantageous- Proven track record of achieving collections targets- Ability to work independently and in a team environment- High level of integrity and dependability- Good organizational and time-management skills- Must be willing to comply with all company policies and procedures- Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and developments- Relevant certification or training in collections would be a plus.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
