Commercial Real Estate Clerk

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Real Estate Clerk in the legal industry, located in Ottawa, Ontario. The role involves handling multiple matters related to commercial real estate and real estate lending with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be a key part of our team, working closely with clients and professionals within a team environment.Responsibilities:Drafting a variety of documentation, such as closing documents, mortgage security documentation, and related agreements and documentsCoordinating, reviewing, and evaluating title and off-title due diligence matters, including the preparation of draft title reportsEvaluating files to review facts, determine appropriate processes, and plan the steps necessary for the conduct of the file, while ensuring critical deadlines are metActing as the front-line liaison with clients for real estate/lending matters connected with their fileUtilizing excellent communication and social skills to work well within a team environmentUsing effective client relations skills to communicate with other team members, while handling clients' needs in a professional and courteous mannerApplying knowledge about current relevant legislation and government regulationsAnalyzing legal documents for accuracy and maintaining a high quality of work product, occasionally under tight timelinesQualifications:-Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate in Ontario as a legal clerk or paralegal. -Proficient in the use Teraview and/or Conveyancer software.-Demonstrated ability to maintain and develop client relations.-Advanced knowledge and understanding of Commercial Real Estate and Real Estate Law.-Proficient in using Conveyancer software.-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.-Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.-High level of integrity and confidentiality.-Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.This is an excellent opportunity to work with a National Firm on a hybrid basis.
