Excell Communications was recognized as Bell's National Dealer of the Year in 2016, 2018, and 2019.Job Summary:You will be involved in all areas of accounting for the organization. Your tasks will range from posting transactions and performing high-volume reconciliations (to preparing an array of financial and management reports. You will also need to develop a strong understanding of the point-of-sale system and provide support to office and retail staff in using it properly.You will work closely with the Controller to address accounting challenges and find ways to make processes more efficient. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excell has a number of related organizations under its corporate umbrella, including telecommunications infrastructure and managed IT services. You will be called on to work with these organizations on an ongoing basis, though initially, most of the work will pertain to the core retail telecommunications business.Responsibilities:· Manage all core accounting functions, including the entire general ledger and trial balance· Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions· Perform period-end closings· Conduct high volume bank reconciliations across multiple accounts· Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports· Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis· Collaborate with the Controller to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes· Develop an understanding of the point-of-sale (POS) system and provide guidance to office and retail staff as needed· Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiency by leveraging technology· Serve as a back for PayrollRequirements:· Accounting diploma or degree· Advanced Excel skills for analyzing large data sets· Experience with the cull cycle of accounting and ability to prepare the trial balance· Experience in extracting, analyzing and reconciling large data sets from multiple sources· Knowledge of COGS for inventory-based accounting· Experience in multi-departmental/multi-location accounting and consolidated reporting· Payroll processing experienceRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
