Controller

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in Barrie, Ontario. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. Additionally, risk management will be a key responsibility.Responsibilities:- Overseeing the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements- Ensuring effective cash management strategies are in place- Coordinating all accounts payable, account reconciliations, and payroll activities- Conducting monthly management reporting to provide insights into business performance- Preparing all securitization reporting to meet regulatory requirements- Participating in corporate strategic initiatives to drive business growth- Meeting all reporting deadlines to ensure timely delivery of information- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in financial processes- Managing risk across the organization to safeguard business interests- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA designated. - Demonstrated proficiency in Accrual Accounting- Extensive experience with managing Accrued Expenses- Proven ability to plan and manage Annual Capital- Experience in preparing and overseeing the Annual Budget- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to business solutions- Solid understanding of financial principles and regulations- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal- High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel- Familiarity with accounting software and systems- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously- Strong ethical standards and integrity in all business dealingsRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
