Mechanical Technician – Glasgow
We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join a fast-moving industrial environment in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in maintenance and mechanical fault diagnosis, ready to bring their expertise to a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform planned and unplanned maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation in a fast-paced industrial setting.
* Achieve maintenance targets while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.
* Supervise contractors and collaborate with various teams as necessary.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
* Proactively troubleshoot and apply creative problem-solving skills.
* Conduct regular plant and area safety inspections.
* Utilize the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to log and report all activities promptly.
Requirements:
* A demonstrable no-compromise approach to Health & Safety legislation, ideally in a process or power industry.
* Engineering qualifications such as City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent), including a recognized apprenticeship.
Benefits Package:
* Salary: £45,774
* Schedule: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)
* Call Out: 1 in 4 weekends
* Bonus: Up to 10% annually
* Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
* Pension: 4-7% matched pension contribution
