Maintenance Carpenter – Social Housing

Location: Barnsley (S71) – Mobile role covering the area
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (37hrs per week)
Pay: £18.00ph paid weekly via umbrella
Duration: Ongoing Contract – Long Term
Notes: Successful applicant will be subject to a Basic DBS prior to starting
Duties
Would need to be able to work as part of a team delivering adaptations works to properties in the Barnsley area
Kitchen fitting internal and external doors along with all other day to day joinery works.
To carry out all aspects of joinery work on repairs and maintenance and refurbishment projects and new build including first fix and second fix joinery works.
To remove and replace timber gutter and carry out any necessary repairs
To lift and fix carcassing timbers such as traditional roof timbers, trussed rafters, floor joists and shuttering
To lift and fix finished items such as windows, doors, door frames, boarding to floors and walls, sills, skirtings and architraves on new build or adaptations and kitchens.
To set out hip roof designs for traditional and non-traditional roofs.
To install PVCu windows and doors / composite doors.
To apply PVCu trims and finishes to new works as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Must hold full UK drivers license
Must hold valid CSCS card
Must hold at least a level 2 City & Guilds/NVQ/BTEC/equivalent in Carpentry/Joinery
