CAD Design Engineer

Job Description
Our client in Telford is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join their team. The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using various software tools to support engineering and construction projects. A background in sheet metal fabrication would be beneficial.
Duties
* Develop detailed CAD drawings for structures, systems, and components based on project requirements
* Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand design concepts and provide technical support
* Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and regulations
* Review and modify designs to enhance functionality and efficiency
* Maintain project documentation and files for future reference
Skills
* Proficient in SolidWorks or AutoCAD (transferrable skills)
* Knowledge of Radan (Advantageous)
* Knowledge of Press Brake & Punch Press (Ideal, not a necessity)
* Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
