Job Description

Network IT is currently recruiting for aSC cleared SQL Server DBA, to join our government client on a 6 month initial contract.

The individual is expected to carry out routine configuration, installation and reconfiguration of database and related products to optimize performance and implement change. Build and troubleshoot infrastructure solutions using architects drawings, diagrams and/or data flows.

Our client is looking for solid SQL BDA and experience of working in a high clearance / high security environment previously.

Role: SeniorSQL DBA
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: £400 per day
Status: Outside IR35
Location: Milton Keynes 3 days on-site

Key Skills:
  • Understanding of MS SQL Server best practices.
  • Database Maintenance (Install/Configure/Maintain SQL Servers). Ola Hallengren maintenance solution so knowledge of this is preferred.
  • Always On/High availability knowledge, replication.
  • Backup/Restores of SQL Server.
  • Understanding of database roles and permissions as well as data security trying to move to an RBACs model.
  • SSRS reporting / Work in conjunction with other teams to get customised reporting for the business.
  • Familiarity with other databases such as Postgres, MariaDB.
  • Azure Capability/AWS Working knowledge.
