Senior Financial Analyst

This would be a 1 year contract with potential extension for the right person. This would be hybrid onsite, 2-3 days per week in Culver City.

The ideal candidate will have experience liaising with the business and the ability to explain their findings to non-finance groups.

Summary

The role will provide financial planning and analysis support in the areas of month-end close, monthly estimate, P&L analysis, reporting, annual budget & long-range strategy development, and other ad hoc reporting and analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all month-end close and estimate processes.
• Key financial contact for Marketing, Commercial and creative teams, partnering to manage A&P spend, such as influencer, sampling, agencies fees, etc, within budget, understand timing of key activations and rephase / repurpose spend as needed.
• Provide P&L reporting and variance analysis vs estimate and plan, highlighting and tacking potential risks and opportunities. Collaborating with teams to identify solutions and mitigation plans
• Assist with the preparation of monthly & quarterly financial reports, including monthly performance reviews, risk and opportunities, variance analysis, retail sale reporting, quarterly Investor Relations and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Support the annual budget & long-range planning process, providing analytical support & deep dives as needed. Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules and presentations.
• Support Product Development in the tracking and reporting of NPL product claims spend vs budget & estimate
• Provide support and direction on the purchasing process, working closely with the lead purchasers to ensure compliance
• Provide support in all aspects relating to the financial planning and reporting for the Global & NA Region, including New Product Launch ROI, Mix of Business reporting, Gross Margin expansion & ad hoc reporting and modeling

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
• 3+ years’ experience in Finance/Accounting, in a fast-paced commercial environment
• Demonstrate a firm understanding of finance & accounting concepts
• Experience in monthly estimates
• Strong accuracy & attention to detail, with excellent systems and excel skills
• Well organized & able to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Proactive & execution focused, can work independently with guidance
• Team player with good written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset
• SAP experience a plus
