Job Description

Our client is a dynamic leader in the homebuilding industry, committed to excellence in design, construction, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a results-driven Divisional Vice President of Finance with a strong background in the homebuilding sector to join their leadership team and drive financial strategy for sustainable growth.


Job Summary

As the Divisional VP of Finance, you will lead the company’s financial operations, ensuring financial health, strategic planning, and profitability. You will collaborate with senior leadership to oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management while providing financial insights that support the company’s long-term goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Provide accurate financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Manage the financial aspects of land acquisition, development, and homebuilding projects.
  • Collaborate with the executive team on financial forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning.
  • Oversee audits, tax preparation, and other financial compliance matters.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational improvements, and growth strategies.
  • Build and manage a high-performing finance team to support the company’s financial operations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within the homebuilding industry.
  • Proven track record of leading financial operations at a senior management level.
  • Strong understanding of the financial intricacies involved in homebuilding, land development, and construction.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial forecasting, budget management, and risk management.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
