Job Title: Special Needs (SEND) Teacher

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Needs (SEND) Teacher to join our inclusive school community in South Yorkshire. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualised lesson plans that meet the needs of students with SEND.
Assess, track, and report on student progress.
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Implement and adapt strategies to support each student's academic, social, and emotional development.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, parents, and external professionals.
Skills & Qualities:
A successful SEND Teacher should have:
Empathy & Patience: A deep understanding of the needs of students with SEND and the ability to adapt your approach to each student.
Strong Communication Skills: To effectively collaborate with support staff, parents, and external professionals.
Creativity & Adaptability: Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt strategies to diverse learning needs.
Experience or Qualifications: Previous experience working with vulnerable people, or a qualification in SEND education (e.g., PGCE with SEND specialization, or equivalent), is essential for this role.
