About this Role:
Ambitious Site Engineer required to work with the busy regional office of this national main contractor, initially to work with the project team on the construction of a £30m new build industrial scheme in Reading due to commence on site early in the new year.
Typically working with the relevant project team from commencement on site, you will be responsible for the technical engineering aspects of the project throughout construction, including setting out, coordinating temporary works, review of design information, resolving technical queries and liaising with structural engineers, checking and QA for groundworks and RC and steel frame subcontractors, etc.
Initially you will be working with the project team on a £30m new build scheme in Reading;
The role will subsequently extend to work with a support additional teams and projects in the region including schools, college, university faculty buildings, offices, leisure buildings, etc. There is a pipeline of work in the region to facilitate an ongoing Engineer / Senior Engineer role, or a route up into Site Management to suit.

Scope of works includes projects in the Industrial, education, student accommodation, commercial, and leisure sectors, ranging in value from £5m to £50m;
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will be degree qualified, with experience of undertaking a similar role on a large new build project working for the main contractor.
You will possess excellent communication skills, strong planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach, plus sound technical knowledge.
