Role Overview
The Norwood Park Estate has an exciting opportunity for a Creative Marketing Assistant to join our team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team and contribute to the success of the estate. You’ll be working closely with the Brand & Marketing Manager, within a small and collaborative team to support and implement marketing activity for the estate’s multiple business streams.
This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to gain broad marketing experience, supporting across estate-wide marketing activity. The ideal candidate will have a creative mind with strong experience of working on brand social media platforms and a background in creative graphic design. You should be comfortable creating content for a variety of channels and audiences, with the ability to demonstrate experience of this in previous roles.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media
- Plan and schedule regular content across branded social media channels including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok with the aim of growing the brand reach and engagement across platforms.
- Experience of producing short form video content for distribution on social channels such as Instagram Reels and TikTok videos, with an understanding of aligning with trending content.
- Liaise with our regular suppliers and partners to source collate and manage assets which can support the promotion of the estate as well as building relationships to support collaborative posting and content creation.
- Monitor social media accounts and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner to build a community with our followers and the local community.
- Monitor engagement across platforms, analyse and report on social media metrics and how our activity supports wider business goals.
- Keep up to date with emerging social media trends, tools, and platforms as well as conducting competitor research and keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Creative Content & Design
- Design skills with a knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular Adobe InDesign and Illustrator including experience of setting up artwork for professional print.
- Develop engaging, visually appealing content and creative assets which meet brand guidelines for a range of channels and uses including social media, website and print.
- Support in the development and implementation of the brand content strategy.
- Upload, write and manage content on the website through our CMS system to support the promotion of our business and our calendar of events.
- Contribute to the maintenance of marketing & content calendars to support marketing planning.
- Support in the delivery of the email marketing plan, including writing, designing and building campaigns as well as ensuring the accuracy of data in the CRM platform.
General Duties
- Work collaboratively both with other departments within the business and with external parties to successfully deliver against organisational objectives.
- Liaise with event managers to understand the details and requirements of upcoming events, ensure that our content accurately reflects these offerings and manage content sign off.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and internal teams to manage the administration of our ‘Black Book’, ensuring that suppliers are updated in a timely manner.
- Develop an understanding of the customer journey and support in linking marketing and promotional activity for events through to sales, lead generation, revenue and profit.
- Support the marketing function’s reporting and gain an understanding of KPIs, marketing effectiveness and ROI as well as how this aligns with the wider business context of revenue generation and profitability.
- Additional duties reasonably covered within the scope of the role.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Essential candidate qualifications & experience:
- Minimum one year’s experience in a marketing or graphic design role
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook & TikTok and experience of creating content for and posting to brand social media accounts
- Experience of graphic design including experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong writing skills with excellent grammar and spelling
- 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-5 including Maths & English
Desirable candidate qualifications & experience:
- A degree or accredited professional qualification in marketing, graphic design or a related field
- Knowledge of or interest in historic houses, visitor attractions or the wedding & events industry
- Broader marketing skills across any of the following; website content management, email marketing, events, photography, PR, SEO, PPC etc.
- Creative mindset with a strong eye for design and content aesthetics.
- A strong desire to learn and grow and a willingness to pitch in to support the needs of a small team.

Please note, typical working hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm however some weekend, evening and bank holiday working will be required on occasion, for which you will be entitled to time off in lieu.
