Business Development Manager - Civils
Location: Wakefield or Scunthorpe
This is an opportunity for a dynamic Business Development Manager with a civils or construction background, to join a well established and award winning UK construction group in either their Civils and Steel division. You will work closely with the Managing Director, Business Development Director and wider leadership team, to turn targets and strategy into reality.

We’re currently searching for an experienced business development manager who can partner with multiple departments to drive measurable results that benefit our business. Our ideal candidate will be able to implement an effective sales approach that expands our reach, strengthens client relationships, and trains our sales professionals. Objectives of this role

Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritises growth and positive client feedback with repeat business

Maintain positive professional relationships with all project stakeholders
*
Use financial techniques to improve sales revenue
*
Monitor progress against targets to ensure that strategic goals are being met
*
Find new client and framework opportunities
Responsibilities
*
Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective strategies
*
Promote the divisions' products and services to prospective and existing consultants and clients
*
Be aware of and facilitate opportunities for the Build division when appropriate
*
Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders
*
Review contracts to ensure they meet legal and corporate guidelines
*
Represent the business at industry events
Skills and qualifications
*
Proven record of successful business development
*
Experience in civils or construction business development, marketing, or sales
*
Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
*
Exceptional project management skills
*
Clear verbal and written communication skills
*
Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential
Preferred qualifications

Experience in business development, sales or marketing in construction related field
*
Sharp negotiation and networking skills
*
Organisational skills
