Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Toolmaker to join our clients team based in Coalville. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with radial water drilling, grinding, and fitting, ensuring high standards across all tooling projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform radial water drilling, grinding, and fitting work to high standards of precision.
* Manufacture, repair, and modify tools, jigs, and fixtures in accordance with job specifications.
* Use and maintain workshop machinery and tools, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
* Inspect, test, and troubleshoot tools and equipment to identify and resolve any defects.
* Work from engineering drawings, schematics, and verbal instructions to produce high-quality tooling solutions.
* Ensure all work is carried out within agreed timescales and quality standards.
* Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and problem-solving.
* Adhere to all company health and safety policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in toolmaking, with specific skills in radial water drilling, grinding, and fitting.
* Ability to work from and interpret engineering drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Good manual dexterity and practical skills in tool and equipment operation.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Flexibility with working hours, within the specified range.
About the role:
* Flexible shift options: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
* 40 hours per week
* 30 minutes unpaid lunch break per day
