Forward-thinking engineering practice based in Glasgow, specialising in innovative design solutions for temporary works, scaffolding, groundshoring, and foundations. Our commitment to quality and safety drives us to deliver exceptional results for our clients in the construction sector.
Looking for an experienced Design Engineer with expertise in either temporary works/scaffolding or groundshoring/foundations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, with Revit knowledge being a plus. This role involves both technical design and client-facing activities, ensuring that we meet the diverse needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand project requirements and expectations through initial meetings and ongoing discussions.
Presenting Design Concepts: Prepare and present innovative design proposals using visual aids such as sketches, AutoCAD drawings, or Revit models.
Feedback Integration: Actively solicit and incorporate client feedback into design iterations to ensure alignment with project specifications.
Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather firsthand information that may impact design decisions while discussing project progress with clients.
Project Updates: Regularly update clients on project status, timelines, and potential issues to maintain clear communication and build trust.
Problem Solving: Collaborate with clients to address challenges during the design phase, providing expert recommendations based on engineering principles.
Documentation Preparation: Prepare technical documents and reports for client review, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all communications.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure all parties are aligned on project objectives and timelines.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a design engineering role related to temporary works, scaffolding, or foundations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Revit is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
