PSV Technician - Burton
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PSV Technician to join a well-established company at their Burton depot. If you have a background in public service vehicles (PSV) or heavy goods vehicles (HGV), this could be the perfect role for you!
Pay Rate: £19.00 - £21.00 per hour (Standard and Overtime rates available)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, 5 days over 7 – no Sundays)
Job Overview:
As a PSV Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the fleet is serviced, inspected, and repaired to meet high standards. You’ll be working on a range of tasks, from MOT inspections to handling major component repairs, ensuring vehicles are ready for daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting MOT inspections and preparation
* Servicing and inspecting the vehicle fleet
* Diagnosing and rectifying defects on buses returning from service
* Performing engine, gearbox, Adblue, and running gear repairs and replacements
* Preparing vehicles for next-day service
Ideal Candidate:
* HGV or PSV experience is essential
* Strong ability in fault diagnosis and rectification
* Knowledge of DVSA rules and legislation
* A team player who is flexible and willing to learn
* Driven to develop new skills through continuous training
