Role Overview for the Business Development Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our team in the Northwest region. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of the waste management sector and excellent sales and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager
* Identify and target new business opportunities within the waste management industry.
* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored waste management solutions.
* Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer demands.
* Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
* Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new business.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and high customer satisfaction.
* Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and expand the client base.
* Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.
Requirements for the Business Development Manager
* Proven experience in a business development or sales role, preferably within the waste management industry.
* Strong understanding of waste management processes and services.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Proactive and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid UK driving license.
