Job Description

A leading multidisciplinary Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their specialist MEP division. This business prioritises its people, recognising that they are vital to the business's ongoing success. They are dedicated to fostering professional growth, with a strong focus on internal promotion and career progression.

As a whole, the company has a turnover of approximately £60 million. The MEP division works closely with Tier 1 contractors, delivering major projects across the Education, Healthcare, and Office sectors.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in a significant educational project in partnership with a Tier 1 contractor. Starting in Q1 next year, this project offers the opportunity to be involved from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring you are a pivotal part of its delivery with a clear path to further career advancement.

Your primary responsibilities will include providing comprehensive commercial support to the project team, ensuring accurate management of commercial information, and maintaining compliance with all contractual requirements. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a Junior Quantity Surveyor, offering valuable guidance and mentorship to develop their skills.

This position is primarily based within the Central Belt of Scotland, with occasional travel required.

* Competitive base salary of up to £70,000 - depending on experience

Requirements for the role:

* HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent qualification

* Previous experience within MEP sector is preferred, though candidates from main contracting backgrounds will be considered

* Proven track record in managing projects and mentoring junior staff
