Job Summary Job Description WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY Senior Developer will be handling the main L3 MNT and/or Dev work for Shared Services applications. WHAT WILL YOU DO Development support and tech currency maintenance of the applications Defect fixes and enhancement work of the applications Document the technical roadmap and solutions to achieve modernization and transformation of the platform. Assist in determining best mix of technical tools and resources to achieve the goal Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project. Perform Proof of Concept exercises to establish effectivity of thought solutions. Product documentation related to the initiatives and technical solutions including stability maintenance Support the application enhancement development processes and provide guidance, continuous improvement and commercial awareness. Adhering to corporate controls (e.g. architectural standards, internal and external audits, information security). Build Future Capability: express a vision for change based on the awareness of business challenges and by bringing innovative approach and/or solutions to accelerate the delivery Agile Champion, work towards setting up environment to promote agility with iterative delivery model, working in collaboration with attention to value and efficiency to increase the rate of successful deliveries Contributes to successful initiative completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation plan of actions. Organizes and participates in walkthrough reviews of all technical specifications/programs and Proof of Concept strategies. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have: Understanding of different design techniques tools e.g. Top down structured analysis, component based design. Experience in data integration connecting disparate applications and business data across multiple platform to transform and route business data between applications. Knowledge of relevant technologies and modern tools available today Ability to document technical solutions in business terms, to collaborate with colleagues in areas of technical expertise, to analyze hurdles for a strategic and holistic point of view while being pragmatic in defining IT solution Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written), problem solving and analytical skills Strategic, creative, analytical thinker who is highly motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities. Interest in process improvements through automation of operational processes. A willingness to make a difference and help protect business areas and data. Experience with Cloud migration and middleware technology messaging solution such as IBM MQ, Active MQ. Worked in a related application development role for 5-7 years focusing primarily on message routing. Strong in SQL, Java/J2EE programming language, Apache Camel / Openshift.
