Job Summary Job Title: Palliative Care Physician - Multiple Positions Available Work Site: Vancouver General Hospital Status: Part Time, Full Time Start Date: To be mutually agreed upon. Compensation Type: Per Physicians Master Agreement Clinical Service Contract Come work as a Palliative Care Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Vancouver Costal Health is recruiting Palliative Care Physician(s) for the Vancouver General Hospital Palliative Care Program. Vancouver General Hospital is a 1000 bed quaternary teaching hospital associated with the University of British Columbia. The hospital supports several provincial programs including Leukemia Bone Marrow Transplant, Solid Organ Transplants (Liver/Lung) Surgical Oncology, and Renal. We are seeking qualified palliative care physicians to join our program which comprises of a 9-bed tertiary Palliative Care Unit (PCU) and a Consult Service. Current opportunities are for part time (as block-based weeks) or full-time work on the consult service. As a Palliative Care Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will: Play an active role in education and research Provide specialist consultation to generalists and specialists within the hospital Work within the intradisciplinary teams Qualifications Education, Licensing, & Experience : Full Licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia Certificate of Added Competence in Palliative Care, or an equivalent designation, or Fellowship in the Royal College of Specialists in Palliative Medicine Knowledge & Abilities: Strong palliative and primary care clinical skills Good communication skills Closing Statement Interested in applying?
