Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? In the increasingly complex world of financial services, accurate and complete data is critical for risk management and regulatory compliance. Ensuring data integrity begins with an understanding of financial services data, data quality controls and identifying and resolving data observations and issues. As an Associate Director, Data Insights, you will be accountable for driving improvements in Risk and Finance data through the management of identification, root cause analysis, and resolution of data issues for US business critical processes and regulatory reports. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible in building trust and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of shared data assets and reporting data by managing data quality initiatives. What will you do? Data Quality monitoring, observation identification and management Review and assessment of exceptions and observations management investigations and reporting, and overseeing and monitoring the remediation of data and processes, as required. Managing a team responsible for identifying and investigating data quality observations and issues, performing root cause analysis, and determining steps required to remediate the data and/or business processes. Investigations and reporting Manages and conducts detailed investigations and report findings based on data exceptions, identified observations, and ad hoc requests from critical Report owners and other users of shared data assets. Manage a team of analysts that provides monthly summary and detailed data quality reporting to business partners, stakeholders and executive leadership, including data quality exceptions, findings and the status of outstanding observations. Continuous improvement Regularly review and update data quality process documentation for accuracy and completeness, monitor their efficiency and effectiveness and recommend/implement improvements to controls, investigations, reporting, observations management and work flows. Based on root-cause analysis findings, propose process changes/improvements to address gaps or inconsistencies in data, processes and/or controls and raise awareness of best practices and approved provisioning points for commonly used data assets. Maintain data quality tests and data quality observation repositories Leadership and collaboration Provide leadership and communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders and business partners, resolving conflicts/issues of medium complexity and escalating to others as appropriate. What do you need to succeed? Must-have 7 years of experience in financial services and systems including finance and credit risk data, data quality principles, data management, business analysis. Knowledge of financial reporting and credit risk business concepts and procedures. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of data analysis methods and the ability to analyze and resolve complex data related issues. Experience conducting root cause analysis, using tools such as SQL, Excel. Experience with business and/or technical documentation and the assessment of existing processes and systems. Nice-to-have Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in times of stress. Experience working with financial services and systems including finance and/or credit risk data Experience using Collibra or a similar data management or workflow platform Whats in it for you?
