You are someone who: Is responsible for all traffic and transportation design aspects of the project, including design, coordination, and preparation of the Traffic and Transit Management Plan and associated subplans, and interface with stakeholders and government authorities. Coordinates internal and external regulatory approval process, and manage relationships and lead the coordination and schedule meetings with stakeholders, including governmental authorities. Assists in design and engineering of temporary works for transit department. Liaises with the urban leadership, ministries, and construction staff, as needed. Creates traffic solutions based on requirements in the project agreement. Works closely with supervisors, in monitoring traffic and transit operations and bring issues to a resolution. Recommends changes in signal phasing and timing, pavement markings and signage to the staff as needed. Works proactively to ensure that plans are in place to transition to the next phase in terms of detours, signage, pavement markings, signals and PVMS installations. Prepares traffic control plans using Rapid Plan Software and CADD. Participates in preparation of Traffic and Transit Management Plans (TTMP). You bring: Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, 5 years in a traffic management role. Valid class G driver license required. Knowledge of OTM Book 7 an asset. Knowledge of Rapid Plan Software and AutoCAD is an asset. Logical approach to trouble shooting and problem solving. Excellent oral and written skills. Excellent time and Project Management skills.
