Legal Entity Accountant

Functieomschrijving For a multinational company in the pharmaceutical field we are looking for a Legal Entity Accountant. As a Legal Entity Accountant you will be accountable to deliver accurate and timely financial information from the point of transaction through to financial close and periodic external reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annually). This individual will support all accounting processes, through effective, efficient, and regulatory (SOX) compliant finance processes, and in accordance with US GAAP/ Local GAAP (IFRS). Responsabilit As a Legal Entity Accountant you will: Be responsible for the preparation and submission of all statutory books in compliance with local requirements, Collaborate with External consultants to Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirements, Manage Statutory Compliance &, Management of External Financial Audits, Manage Statutory Financial accounting and financial close related activities (both, specific to year end as well as ongoing activities), Ensure the integrity of internal financial controls. In this role you will also: Oversee preparation of all statutory books in compliance with local statutory requirements for assigned entities: Check that all entries and analyze all accounts and prepare monthly and year-end entries for statutory requirements and prepare fiscal reconciliation between local and US GAAP, Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirements by working with VAT Department and collaborate with external consultants and by ensuring that all documents are available for possible tax inspection, Support internal and external Audits by representing the local entities at audit meetings &, in dealing with any ad-hoc requests that may be required and by ensuring efficiency &, timeliness in the provision of any information to the outsourcing company, if relevant, Ensure liaison with local management by reviewing market issues arising which may have an impact on the financials and conducting regular meetings in country with local management. Functie-eisen The ideal candidate has: Bachelor’s Degree in finance and accounting, preferred, Statistics or economics or local country equivalent, considered, 3-5 years of general accounting experience in a complex global Shared Services environment. External Audit/ Public Accounting experience is considered a plus, Demonstrated capability to understand accounting outcomes and explain US Gaap accounting treatment, utilizing excellent English language skills, Demonstrated capability of completing VAT reporting requirements, SAP or other enterprise systems experience, Good level on Microsoft Excel: Capability to navigate a structured corporate environment autonomously and to interact with various business figures in order to achieve shared goals. The offer is for a fixed-term contract (9 months minimum) with level and salary based on the candidate's seniority in the role.
