Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: Andover, MA
Type: Contract
Join the American multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology that develops and produces medicines and vaccines for immunology, oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, and neurology.
Responsibilities Maintain daily upkeep of lab instruments including checking reagents, performing calibrations, and reporting issues.
Daily checks through the lab to ensure consumables are stocked and prepared for use in experiments.
Upkeep of different storage libraries being able to track transfer of materials in and out of storage.
Aid in the generation of stable CHO cell lines, cell banks, expression assessments and scaleup in disposable 5-100L bioreactors
Depth filtration of conditioned media
Work with senior members of group to design and execute experiments.
Capture data in electronic notebook and routinely provide updates to project teams.
Provide updates at meetings on status of lab and data gathered through experiments.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BS with 0-2 years of experience in Biology, Chemistry, or related discipline
Experience can be educational, internship, and previous work experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Mammalian cell culture
Sterile technique
Strong communication skills, written, oral and organizational skills.
