Engineer 3 - (Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering) - Nuclear Fuel Services (BWXT) - Erwin, TN
Position Responsibilities:
Evaluates situations, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgement in making minor modifications.
Assignments have a clear objective and require planning and investigation of limited number of possible solutions.
Work is reviewed for application of sound judgement and compliance with contract technical requirements and meet Engineering policies and procedures.
Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
Little to no assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for sound professional judgement.
Performs work independently which involves conventional types of plans, investigations; structures or equipment rarely with precedents.
Prepare written reports, drawings/sketches, technical documents (Technical Basis, Change Requests, Equivalencies, Set Points, etc.).
Designs and conducts tests or experiments, evaluate and correlate data, organize and plan work.
Applies understanding of manufacturing technology, technical process specifications, Engineering policies and procedures, QC procedures, department goals, customer needs and contract requirements.
Develops ability to interpret technical specifications, conduct meetings, deal with customer, vendor, and other department representatives, prepare time and cost estimates.
Work as part of team that creates and manages the Knowledge Management Program.
Position Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 4 years of experience required.
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information in writing and verbally.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multifunctional team.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Pay: $75,000 - $125,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $75,000 and $125,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
