Job Description

Our client is seeking an organized and motivated Vice President of Purchasing to lead its Purchasing operations. The role involves creating and managing bids, writing specifications for vertical construction, and overseeing budgets. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of purchasing experience in homebuilding, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of construction drawings and contracts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchasing operations and budgets for vertical construction.
  • Submit RFPs and qualify bids.
  • Value engineer plans and monitor project budgets.
  • Review change orders and assist with trade or contract issues.
  • Conduct site and frame walks, ensuring timely issuance of Subcontract Agreements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in purchasing within the homebuilding sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills and customer service focus.


Compensation:

  • Salary: $160,000 - $175,000 per year, plus mileage reimbursement and discretionary bonuses.
