Azure Cloud Migration Manager

Job Description

Rate ~ 65-80 p/hr.

Job Summary:

In this role you will lead a Cloud migration effort, moving from on-premises data center to Azure based environment with Databricks driving the platform. You will be the overall technical delivery manager overseeing multiple scrum teams working to transition products and services to the Cloud.

Specific Accountabilities:

 The Manager, Software development leads a team responsible for analyzing user needs and design, code, test, debug, document and maintain software solutions.

 Accountable for the budget, performance and results of a medium-sized team or multiple teams of employees. Influences the resource, budget and policy planning and sets concrete development plans for the team members.

 Has a mid/long-term vision of the activity and the business, influences the department's strategy based on a broad understanding of the environment. Exposed to complex decision making.

 Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions, escalating issues only when necessary.

Skills and Requirements

Notes from intake: MUST have Azure cloud migration experience as well as hands on architect experience on resume. NOT a scrum master (unless it was a hands on architect)

Must-Haves:

 10+ years working in the Information Technology Industry

 Azure cloud migration experience and can speak to it well

 5+ years of being a team lead a team / people management

 Hands on architecture experience (then moved into a lead / PM type role / strong PM abilities)

 Open shift / Kubernetes work experience Plusses:

 Data bricks is a huge plus

 ScrumMaster Certification (preferred)

Technical Skills:

 Experience with Cloud migrations, especially Big Data

 Azure

 Docker

 Datadog/Splunk/Prometheus/Grafana

 Significant experience mitigating output of CISO audits and requirements

 Best practices across the full Software Development Lifecycle (requirements, development, quality assurance, release management)

 Construction of highly efficient scalable systems null
