Job Description: Real Estate Transactional Attorney

Reports to: General Counsel

Sandow Lakes Ranch is seeking an associate real estate transactional attorney for our master planned community to join our team full time in our Dallas, Texas office. The position will provide hands-on support for highly challenging and interesting legal assignments. This position will report to our General Counsel. Experience with commercial real estate and corporate transactions is desired for this role. However, backgrounds that include experience in other categories of transactional law will be considered.

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts
  • Coordinating and managing various transaction types, including commercial real estate, corporate, finance, and construction
  • Conducting due diligence
  • Managing the work of outside counsel
  • Work well in a team environment, communicate clearly, and prioritize practical issues for clients
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills
  • Ability to communicate well with clients and colleagues
  • Multi-task and operate against inflexible deadlines both in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter with superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Accountable and motivated

Job Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience is preferred
  • J.D. and must be a member in good standing of the Texas Bar
  • Strong computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful and lasting relationships with team members, owners, consultants, vendors, contractors, regulators, governmental stakeholders, general public, and executive management
  • Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work
  • High energy and self-motivated with a sense of urgency to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, consistently meet or beat deadlines
  • Strong track record of ethical behavior
  • Ability to work alongside General Counsel to assist with workflow as required

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $160,000-$190,000.
