Job Description
Senior Configuration Analyst to join our team at our campus in Westford, MA. The Senior Configuration Analyst will have the opportunity to work with our top, industry leading multi-disciplined design professionals.
In this mission critical role managing product revision control will be major focus. The Analyst will have the opportunity to design, develop, and support documentation traceability efforts across our manufacturing and engineering design teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tracking changes to ensure we will always have Truth, Trust, and Traceability (T3). Ensuring that Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) processes and procedures are fully implemented and are compliant with contractual and internal requirements will be a key driver for this role.
The Analyst will have the opportunity to track and control our configuration baseline through the change management process for the life cycle of products assigned. Reviewing and analyzing proposed engineering changes to determine the overall effect on the product will be an exciting part of this role. With minimal supervision, the analyst will track, log, categorize, and maintain manufacturing or engineering changes made against the accepted customer baseline(s) standards. The analyst will review, monitor, and analyze Technical Data Packages and take appropriate actions to ensure impacted key stakeholders are notified.
A passion for documentation and concise communications will be highly valued in this extremely detail oriented and analytical role. The Analyst will have the opportunity to contribute to special projects and key initiatives across our sites.
Basic Qualifications :
• Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree or equivalent experience/combined education and 3+ years of Configuration Management (CM) experience
• Experience with the application of CM-related policies, procedures and tools
• Ability to understand and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-disciplined teams
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite Products (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Strong and accurate attention to detail
• Business Acumen
• Self-starter and independent working attributes are essential
• Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational and document management skills
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and have an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start
Desired skills:
• Experience with Product Life cycle Management (PLM) systems
• Experience with ERP, SharePoint, Windchill, JIRA, and/or Confluence
• Configuration Management Principles and Applications SAE EIA-649C
• Familiarity with electronics manufacturing or design
• A full understanding of Engineering Bills of Materials and/or Manufacturing Bills of materials.
• Technical experience interpreting specifications
• Previous experience in a defense, aerospace, military, or logistics environment would be a plus.
