The Role and Expectations of Construction Pipe Layer

This role is critical to the success of our team. Every position on our team is important and meaningful. Construction utility pipe layers will primarily install utility piping including water, fire, sanitary and storm. They will also learn earthwork, stabilization, and some concrete work as part of a knowledgeable team. Here at Hutchinson Construction, you are important and valued. We work hard to provide opportunity for growth to anyone willing to work for it. This includes training in safety, quality, work planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

· Checking Grade

· Setting utilities: Water, Sanitary and Storm piping

· Rigging

· Operating Heavy Equipment

· Survey and Layout

· Clean-up and Housekeeping

· Learn to read plans and build to them

· Take direction from Foreman and Superintendent

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Work Ethic

· Willing to learn

· Reliable

· Trustworthy with strength of character

· Positive attitude and temperament

· Attention to detail.
