Job Description:
The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing cleanrooms, hot cells, and other controlled environments for pharmaceutical construction projects. This role will work closely with architects, project managers, and clients to ensure that all designs meet the necessary industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Drafting: Develop detailed designs for cleanrooms, hot cells, and controlled environments using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Technical Drawings: Prepare 2D and 3D models, layouts, and construction drawings.
- Compliance: Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA, and ISO standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver integrated project designs.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs and translate them into functional design solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed design documentation and specifications for each project.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve design issues during the construction process, ensuring projects stay on track.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in design engineering, preferably within pharmaceutical or similar industries (cleanroom design, HVAC, or controlled environments is a plus).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Experience in 3D modeling and creating technical drawings.
- Knowledge of cleanroom and/or hot cell design, including HVAC and ventilation requirements.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of GMP, FDA, and ISO standards in pharmaceutical environments is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a team and liaise effectively with clients and contractors.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise, high-quality designs that meet strict regulatory and safety standards.
Preferred:
- Experience with pharmaceutical or cleanroom construction projects.
- Knowledge of environmental control systems, including HVAC and airflow for cleanrooms.
