An opportunity has arisen within our Facilities & Estates Team for a Project and Programme Manager based at Headquarters in Sheffield.

Project and Programme Manager
Location: Headquarters, Sheffield
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week (Flexi Time)
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday
Salary: Grade 9 (£41,418 - £44,428) *pay reward pending*

The overall purpose of the role will be to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of all property related programmes and individual projects via government frameworks. You will produce planning and project documentation from initial business cases through to project delivery and handover, evaluating and ensuring value for money is achieved via the framework agreements.

To be considered for this role you will have previous experience of managing the performance, risk and contracts in a public sector or similar fast-paced and challenging environment. You will also have experience of managing key performance indicators both internally and against contracts let to external providers, including challenging non-performance.

You will need to be educated to degree or HND level or equivalent significant experience in a relevant field. You will also need to have membership of an accredited industry body, such as CIBSE, RICS, or equivalent and possess the Project Management (MAPM).

The key duties will include implementing the best use of project and programme management disciplines in the management of the building assets, properties, and estate functions – acting as Project Management Office by maintaining processes and procedures in accordance with Best Project Management Practice.

You will be required to identify the most effective and cost-efficient delivery routes for building and building services project delivery, implementing and managing tender documentation from scoping and project initiation through to completion via external framework providers. You will also ensure that scope, cost, quality and timescales are achieved across all projects.

New starters will commence on the bottom of the salary grade and will receive increases to the top of the grade on an incremental basis. We offer 28 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays. Annual leave increases after 5 years’ service to 32 days, followed by an extra day a year up to a maximum of 37 days. We also operate a generous flexi time attendance scheme.
