Field service in Bury St Edmunds region for a reputable UK machinery firm that is recognised as a leader in earthmoving & recycling equipment. They are ambitious, growing and are a great employer for a capable service engineer with heavy plant background who may be looking for a new challenge.

The Field Service Engineer job where reporting to the Service & Warranty Manager, you will undertake field service, maintenance & repair to premier brands such as Case Construction, Terex Ecotec, and Keestrack. Your patch would be roughly a Cambridge, Ipswich, Chelmsford traingle. You can be proud to help deliver on customer requirements acrossEarthmoving and Recycling. More specifically:
Travelling to and working at customer sites servicing and resolving problems on heavy plant.
Liaising with service team and technical support to solve problems, order parts.
Completion and submissions of reports and hours
The role would be field based with occasional workshop requirement.
You will have
To be successful as a Fireld Service Engineer here, you will have good knowledge of a variety of heavy plant equipment: Wheeled Loaders, Excavators, Track Loaders, Shredders, Screens, Waste Handlers.
You will be competent with reading/understanding hydraulic and electrical schematics. Understanding of in-engine after treatment systems, SCR, DPF. Good understanding of electrical circuits. Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Good IT skills. Good literacy skills. Good communication skills. Plus, a healthy mix of the following qualifications:
Driving License
Apprentice NVQ level 3 plant maintenance or similar
Quarry passport
Passport to safety
You will get
As a Field Service Engineer you will enjoy competitive rates of £17-£22PH, ~£35K-£40K + OT + Package. Based on a 40-hour week, and paid to/from home address.
Company Mercedes van including private mileage
32 days holiday including bank holidays
Overtime when available is paid at 1.5
Birthday Leave and holiday purchase options
Annual attendance bonus
Full sick pay
Pension contributions match of 4% (Employee 5%)
BUPA Cash Plan Level 1
