Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Charge Nurse within the Childrens Unit at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
The Childrens Unit consists of a
- 23 bedded childrens inpatient unit,
- Paediatric Assessment Unit
- Childrens Outpatient Unit. Q|AWHB 9N,L
You will be continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards of care within the Childrens Unit. You will be lead on service development across all categories of care taking overall responsibility in the provision of safe and skilled care. This is inclusive of all 3 clinical areas of the Childrens Unit. |
You are responsible for the management of the nursing and team, the allocated departmental resources and budget to ensure the delivery and maintenance of high quality clinical standards and the efficient running of the services. |

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
First Level NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) Registered Childrens Nurse (RSCN or RN Child)
Educated to degree level with evidence of continuous professional development or Equivalent professional experience.
Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in area of clinical speciality.

Hours:
22.5 per week
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
UK driving licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
