We have a great opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our clients established engineering team at their busy Distribution Centre in Wakefield.
Working at this state of the art facility you will be responsible for the maintenance of a wide range of highly automated equipment including conveyors, box ladders, tote stackers, shuttle systems, A frame tablet dispensers, strappers to name a few and the general maintenance of the site facilities.
As a Senior Maintenance Technician you will work closely with the management team assisting with onsite projects and overseeing the Maintenance Technicians work loads and checking external contractor permits and RAMS.
You will need to be confident and take ownership of breakdowns keep down time to a minimum.

Key Responsibilities for a Senior Maintenance Technician
- Mechanically; Reading assembly drawings, stripping and re-assembling with hand tools.
- Electrically; System testing, field wiring, system calibration, interpreting circuit diagrams
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Strong Attention to detail
- CMMS use
- Service and repair of equipment on site
- Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines
- Willing to learn and adapt to role requirements.
- Perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Hands on ownership of issues
- Minimum Level 3 qualification Electrical/Mechanical & Pneumatic Qualification
- Technical department experience especially in maintenance
- Experience with working on automated conveyor systems
- A solid understanding of Health and Safety policies
- Technical knowledge of mechanical/electrical/pneumatic equipment
- Excellent understanding of automated equipment and controls
- Both Electrical and Mechanical skills
- Root cause analysis skill
- Salary £42,189 + Shift Supplement (TBC)
- Rotating shift pattern
0600 – 1415 – Monday – Friday
1400 – 2215 – Monday – Friday
2200 – 0615 – Monday – Friday 0600 – 1330 Sunday 1 in 3 - 22 Days Holiday
