We are seeking to appoint a Contract Manager on a permanent full-time contract to work within the Digital Data and Technology commercial delivery team (DDaT) leading on the management of a portfolio of our contracts for this critical and market leading category.

The role requires demonstrable commercial experience operating with a diverse group of senior stakeholders and have effective consultancy skills to gain credibility quickly; understanding and digesting complex and detailed information in order to offer advice and expertise and have that well-received through strong stakeholder engagement. You must demonstrate the rounded communications and engagement skills that is likely to result in successfully influencing outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be driven to seek opportunities to create greater value in the work that they do and have an excellent understanding and working knowledge of the full commercial lifecycle, especially in the public sector.
Main duties of the job
• Manages supplier / contract performance.
• Oversees the realisation of benefits achieved as a result of the contract performance management regime or change control.
• Implements structured approaches to supplier relationship management throughout their area of responsibility.
• Day-to-day oversight of contracts.
• Provides advice on relevant regulations and compliance issues.
• Provides practical advice to stakeholders having identified, evaluated, negotiated and apportioned contract risks.
• Ensures business continuity e.g. security of supply extends during any transition period and throughout the entire contract life, including re-procurement and closedown.
• Supports transition management, exit strategy and contract renegotiations, including driving value from the use of performance metrics and success criteria.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route youll usually need to be paid the standard salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the going rate for your job, whichever is higher. You will be based in either our Leeds or London office helping to deliver our ambition - working together to harness the power of the marketplace to deliver maximum value to our healthcare system. Knowledge/Qualification
Essential
• Broad spectrum of technical knowledge relating to contract management with CIPS Level 5, IACCM Advanced OR equivalent qualifications or experience.
Skills & Experience
Essential
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring the best commercial results
• xperience in managing and leading commercial projects, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed and communications are managed appropriately, including maintaining comprehensive audit trails
• Driven, highly motivated individual with experience of managing a range of contracts, ideally from within the public sector
