Job Title: SEMH Support Worker – Specialist School
Location: GL4
Salary: Competitive, based on experience - (Around £85 - £105 per day day)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent. Part-time available.

The School:
A specialist school offering a fresh start for young people who have struggled in traditional settings. The focus is on providing a nurturing and supportive environment where students can thrive. With small class sizes and a strong, committed team, you’ll be part of something truly rewarding.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Supporting students excluded from mainstream schools, helping them re-engage positively with education.
* Providing emotional and behavioural support, using de-escalation techniques when needed.
* Delivering tailored learning experiences that meet each student's individual needs.
* Building strong, trusting relationships with students to foster a positive learning environment.
* Collaborating with a dedicated team to create and implement behaviour and learning plans.
What We’re Looking For:
* Patience and Empathy: You’re great at understanding others' needs and staying calm under pressure.
* Adaptability: No two days are the same, so you need to be flexible and think on your feet.
* Good Sense of Humour: A light-hearted approach helps build rapport and keeps the learning experience enjoyable.
* Resilience: You’ll be working with young people who’ve experienced trauma and frustration, so you’ll need to stay positive and motivated.

To be eligible for this position, you are required to have the following:
* Proactive attitude
* Good work ethic
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
