Electrical Project Engineer – Green Energy
Circa £80,000
Up to £60,000 + £9,000 Car Allowance + Up to 25% Bonus (£12,000)
Birmingham/Northampton/Liecester/Nottingham/Peterborough/Cambridge
Hybrid Working with UK travel
MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an electrically biased Project Engineer/Technical Manager or Project Manager to join a leader within the green energy sector, focusing on green energy projects in Solar, LFG and Battery storage.
You will be the electrical technical lead on multiple ongoing and new commissioning projects. Working on a hybrid basis you have the ability to work from home with travel to UK wide sites, linking the inhouse development team and third-party EPC contractors to ensure best delivery.
The ideal candidate will be confident in reading technical design system documents, recognising design improvements and delivering suggestions to all relevant stakeholders. A UK driving licence is essential.
As the Electrical Project Engineer you will be responsible for:
Planning, optimising and delivering green energy solar and battery storage projects
Support the development team with onsite inspection updates and provide technical solutions of project improvements
Review technical documents and design schematics to ensure EPC delivery is within discussed designs
Ensure onsite electrical safety and quality standards of LV and HV installations
Create a catalogue of process improvements which can be delivered in future projects
Travelling to commissioning projects across the UK
Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
Proven experience within a project engineer or project manager role within Solar, Battery Storage or Utilities/Power Generation
A relevant Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering qualification at Degree/HND level
A time served apprenticeship is beneficial but not essential
Ability to communicate to different stakeholders and delivery constructive feedback in a confident manner
Working knowledge of all relevant H&S legislation
