The Role:
You’ll collaborate with a skilled team of structural engineers and key stakeholders to create precise technical drawings that meet industry standards and project specifications. Working from their modern office in the West Midlands, you will take part in high-profile projects valued in the millions.
As a Tekla detailer, your main responsibility will be detailing and draughting light gauge steel and pre-panelised steel structures for student accommodations, healthcare centres, apartment blocks, and schools. This role is perfect for individuals with at least two years of experience post-education, who are proficient in Tekla (or Revit) and eager to advance their technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful Tekla Detailer will:
Create detailed drawings and schematics using Tekla/Revit software.
Work closely with engineers and other professionals to understand and implement project requirements.
Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards and project guidelines.
Update and modify drawings based on project changes, ensuring all revisions are properly documented.
Organise and maintain accurate records of all project drawings and documentation.
Assist team members with Tekla software and drawing standards.
Prepare comprehensive documentation, including detailed notes on any design changes. Required Qualifications:
The successful Tekla Detailer will have:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Tekla software (minimum 2 years required).
Knowledge of cold-rolled steel and light steel framing is advantageous.
Software Skills: Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and related applications.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction, engineering principles, and materials. Key Competencies:
The successful Tekla Detailer will have:
Attention to Detail: High accuracy and ability to identify inconsistencies.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for effective collaboration.
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve technical issues with efficiency.
