Qualifications:

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of various front and back-end applications (SQL, JDE, etc)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mathematics
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and provide deliverables at the required frequency.
  • Degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

The Supply Chain Coordinator supports strategic procurement initiatives and facilitates flow of information between the corporate procurement team, item setup, cost accounting, vendors and the plants, requiring business knowledge and technical competencies. This position is required to develop customized reporting tools/models, to support metrics, and scorecards across the supply chain space, providing actionable information that is both accurate and fit-for-purpose. This involves not only anticipating and understanding business needs for each independent deliverable, but also being able to mine and understand data from numerous data sources across multiple ERPs.

Data acquisition will vary depending upon the request. Some of the data sources utilized will include: Excel spreadsheets, flat files, SQL databases, ERP reporting tools, and queries/ETLs created specifically for the intended deliverable. Deliverables will also span multiple applications including Excel tables/graphs and specific ERP report generation tools. It will be necessary to standardize fields and create logic to correct imperfections while transforming datasets.

Additionally, the coordinator will be required to perform analysis for various projects. These projects can range from plant performance to supply chain optimization. This position is extremely fast-paced and requires the coordinator to be highly flexible by continually adjusting to shifting requirements, priorities and methods of information consumption.

Essential Job Duties:

  • On-going report/metric/audit generation, automation, and publication
  • New reporting tool/scorecard/audit development
  • Maintain an up to date, complete and accurate material pricing master list
  • Assemble material forecasts by vendor and location once per quarter and distribute to each vendor in a timely manner to ensure they have up to date information regarding PWI’s raw material needs
  • Monitor internal inventory levels of floor stock items and compare to inventory levels at vendors to prevent excess on hand material
  • Compile and review data regarding raw material purchases to suggest ordering pattern changes to procurement director and plant teams.
  • Maintain updated pricing for all packaging materials and ingredients. Communicate pricing changes to cost accounting.
  • Verify all vendor pricing moves in accordance with supply agreements and material index.
  • Assemble data on material movement (IHS, CDI, Pulp and Paper) monthly and communicate market trends to stakeholders.
  • Maintain a material index based on current market prices
  • Coordinate the plant to plant transfer program for finished product.
  • Complete work orders for repackaging activities
  • Investigate and correct material invoice variances
