We are adding an Instructional Designer to our Learning and Development team! This role designs and develops training curriculum and work processes for associates across Vertin with the goal of raising employee and leader effectiveness. This position also plays a critical role in partnership with the Sr. Business Partner, Learning, Engagement, and Culture in executing employee experience and engagement initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Co-lead and manage all aspects of curriculum development for Vertin, organization wide.
    1. Recommend, design, and develop a suite of associate and leadership development programs, based on organizational strategies and defined needs.
    2. Collaborate with business partners and subject matter experts across all Vertin functions to develop relevant content for processes, procedures, system workflows, and business management needs.
  • Administer all aspects of Vertin’s Learning Management System (LMS).
    1. LMS administrator.
    2. Manage Vertin’s competency library, onboarding learning paths, and compliance training series.
    3. Track and report on associate training compliance.
  • Assist with LEC (Learning, Engagement, and Culture) program and initiatives.
    1. Assist in designing and implementing programs that engage and enhance employee experience, i.e.; engagement and pulse surveys, employee roundtables, employee initiatives, rewards & recognition.
    2. Assist in the administration of Vertin’s intranet, generating and sourcing content to meet learning, communication, recognition, and engagement needs across Vertin’s entire network.

Experience you need to bring:

  • Proven experience in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Understanding of e-learning authoring tools, e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Visio, and SnagIt.
  • Experience with LMS (learning management system.
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare and present professional and comprehensive presentations to individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • A tactful and engaging communicator who understands the importance of relationships and productive communication.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field; a master’s degree and/or teaching certificate preferred.
  • 5-7 years training or teaching experience; related project management experience preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience with e-learning authoring tools.
  • Experience in a consumer-facing industry, such as hospitality, healthcare or funeral is a plus!
