Do you have welding experience? Are you looking for a full-time position with lots of overtime?

Randstad has partnered with a metal fabrication company in Green Bay, WI that is looking for skilled individuals to join their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position with full benefits.

Shift- 6am-4:30pm; Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Welding Operations: Execute welding tasks using methods such as MIG, TIG, stick, and arc welding on various materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Interpret Blueprints and Drawings: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding process and techniques required.
• Prepare Materials: Prepare and align metal parts for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces to ensure proper fit and finish.
• Inspect Work: Examine workpieces for defects and measure them to ensure conformance to specifications. Perform quality checks to maintain high standards.
• Maintain Equipment: Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools. Conduct routine maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
• Ensure Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Wear protective gear and work in compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and fabricators, to complete projects efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience as a welder with proficiency in various welding techniques.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong understanding of welding symbols and codes.
• Certifications: Welding certification from a recognized institution is preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in various positions, including standing, bending, and lifting heavy materials.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality welds and adherence to specifications.
• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of metallurgy and welding metallurgy principles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding issues.

Work Environment: The Welder will work in a workshop or construction site environment, often exposed to heat, noise, and fumes. Proper safety equipment and protocols are mandatory to ensure a safe working environment.
