Position Overview:

• Job Type: Full-time, Contract
• Contract Duration: August 2024 - May2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform evaluations to assess students' functional abilities and needs.
• Design and implement individualized intervention plans to support educational goals.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote supportive learning environments.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services, including training in fine motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques.
• Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to interventions as needed.
• Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and assist in establishing IEP goals.
• Offer training and guidance to school staff and parents on supporting students' occupational therapy needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Texas licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Preferably, experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school staff.
